The eight destinies explained
The queen's dance
The court calls for you: it is your turn for a sultry dance in front of the group. You choose your moves and how cheeky to make it. A chorus, a regal look and everyone applauding: tonight the dance floor's throne is yours.
How we would celebrate at your court: The DJ would prepare a palace-style entrance and a rhythm that gets you moving. Our team would introduce you as the queen or king of the night and get your court clapping along. You choose your style and your limits.
Elixir of the Nile
The oracle grants you a shot. Dedicate it to someone at your court, invent a three-word toast and raise your glass as if you have just conquered the night. Your elixir can be alcoholic or alcohol-free.
How we would celebrate at your court: If this game forms part of your party, we would serve a shot from the agreed selection and present it as your elixir of the night. A little drum roll from the DJ, your dedication and the whole group answering your toast.
Royal tribute
Tribute time: the player takes off one item of clothing. An overshirt, a sock or the jacket that seemed so necessary when you arrived. You choose which, and your court celebrates the moment. Prefer a different challenge today? The empire will survive.
How we would celebrate at your court: We would add a suspenseful chime and a palace countdown. You choose the item; we provide the music and applause. No pressure: if you do not fancy it, we swap the tribute for another destiny on the wheel.
The voice of the temple
The temple has a new star: you. Pick a song you know by heart and sing the chorus for the group. Invite someone to sing backing vocals; this court values attitude much more than perfect pitch.
How we would celebrate at your court: The DJ would find the backing track and give you a star introduction. We get the microphone ready if the set-up allows; otherwise, we turn the music down a little and your whole court becomes the chorus. The final applause is your grand finale.
A dip in the Nile
Your destiny is a dip in the pool. If you are at a villa and swimming is allowed, put on your swimsuit and enter through the designated area. No need to cross Egypt: your little Nile is right here, next to the party.
How we would celebrate at your court: We would check that swimming is suitable at that time and venue, put on the oasis soundtrack and count you down from the poolside. If there is no pool, swimming is not possible or you would rather stay dry, we switch to the dynasty dance-off.
Dynasty dance-off
Find a partner and represent two distinctly unserious dynasties. A chorus each, your cheekiest dance move and a duet to finish. The court decides with applause, although joint rulers are very welcome here.
How we would celebrate at your court: We would introduce the two kingdoms, the DJ would alternate their turns and the audience's applause would decide. If the mood takes you, we finish with the whole court dancing. The prize is choosing the next big tune together.
Musical decree
The wheel gives you control of the music for one song. Request the track that always gets you up, dedicate it to someone and gather your court on the dance floor. Guilty pleasures have a place in this palace too.
How we would celebrate at your court: The DJ would take your decree and fit it into the next suitable moment of the set. We would make a little proclamation with your dedication and bring in the song. Your only mission: get your people singing along.
Imperial portrait
Gather your people and prepare your imperial portrait: a pharaoh's gaze, an impossible pose and the friend who is already laughing. You direct the scene and name your dynasty. The most natural photo is usually the one just after the pose.
How we would celebrate at your court: We would find a well-lit spot and help arrange the court. If props have been agreed, out come the crown or fans. We take the photo on your phone or with your booked photographer; sharing it is up to you.
